The Warriors face a challenging 2 weeks ahead. The team first plays a strong team in the Lindenwood University- Belleville Lynx this weekend at home. The following weekend the Warriors travel to Nebraska to face bitter-rival Midland University. For now, Tech is focusing on the task at hand which is the two home games against the Lynx.


The definition of the phrase "gut check" is: an evaluation or test of a person's resolve, commitment, or priorities, typically with respect to a particular course of action. The team is coming off of a sweep of Waldorf College last week which was no walk in the park by any means. They escaped Saturday night with a 3-2 overtime win. You cannot take anything for granted at this level of hockey. You must bring your "A" game night-in and night-out. That includes performing at peak levels in practice. The way to defeat an opponent like Belleville is to out work them. It is plain and simple. Hard-work and commitment to one goal is what makes any team great. This weekend will test the will of the team. Gut check time.


Everyone needs to be on the same page this weekend for the Warriors to come out with 2 victories and 4 more points in the standings. Currently, Belleville sits atop the NAIHA standings. Indiana Tech sits in third. The players and coaching staff understand how important these two games are. The players were tested in practice this week mentally and physically. The Warriors were put to work on Tuesday with battle drills. Wednesday and Thursday saw the team work together in practice to perfect the systems aspect of the game. You could say the team broke a physical and mental sweat all week.


Puck drop for Friday's game is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. Saturday's contest begins at 5:30 P.M. Both games are at the Warriors' home rink, the SportONE/Parkview Ice House. Come support the Warriors as they go to battle once again for another home weekend of games. #EarnIT #GoForIT
