SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team defeated Lawrence Tech, 2-1, on Friday evening at the Southfield Ice Arena to pick up its ninth straight win.
The Blue Devils took the lead in the first with a goal at 13:41 in the period, but that would be the only goal of the night for the hosts as
Bryson Linenburg clamped down with 16 saves on the night.
Jarrett Pfeiffer tied the game up at 1-1 in the second while
Stavros Soilis notched the game-winning goal with 7:09 left in the third.
Adam Jonak and
Francesco Corona would each notch assists on the first and second Tech goals, respectively.
The nine-game winning streak is tied for the longest in program history. The Warriors also won nine straight games last season.
Tech (14-4-0) returns to action Saturday with their final game of the fall semester against Lawrence Tech. Puck drop is set for 5:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Ice House.
