FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 4-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team topped nonconference opponent Asbury College 13-7 on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field.

Asbury would strike first in the contest, but Noah Puckett would find Jace Childs at the 10:53 mark for the tying score. Childs would come up with the next two goals for the Warriors, receiving assists from Brandon Gates at 8:16 in the first quarter and Puckett at 7:21 in the second respectively, to grant them the 3-1 advantage.  The Eagles would add two more goals late in the first half to tie things at 3-3 after thirty minutes of play.

The visiting Eagles would continue their offensive dominance with three unassisted scores to kick off the third quarter and push them ahead 6-3. Gates would kick off a scoring string for the Orange and Black with 1:55 remaining in the third, after he took the Puckett assist for the man-up goal. Childs would bring Tech back into the contest with his score off Andrew Ryan to put the Warriors within one with just over a minute remaining in the third. Childs would account for two more scores in quarter three, one assisted and one from Gates respectively, to put Tech ahead 7-6.

The Orange and Black continued into the final quarter with Will McKinney finding the back of the cage less than two minutes into the quarter's action. Gates would follow up McKinney with a score off Puckett that would be followed up from Ryan at 6:44 off Childs to put the Warriors ahead 10-6. Jack Marquardt would get in on the offensive action with an assisted score at 5:56 to make it 11-6.

Asbury added a final score with a little over three minutes remaining in regulation, but McKinney and Childs would answer back, each posting one more score, McKinney's being unassisted and Childs off Brayden Givens with a man up, to put the Warriors in the driver's seat with the 13-7 decision.
