FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team took on city rival Saint Francis Wednesday evening at the Warrior Athletic Field, defeating the Cougars 2-0. The Warriors were coming off of back-to-back heartbreaking losses and wanted to bounce back against the Cougars.
 
The first half was even for both teams as they came out of the first half dead-locked at 0-0. The second half was a different story. The Warriors came out aggressive and hungry for goals. In the 49^th minute, Erick Turner buried his fifth goal of the season off the cross from Richard Doll, who then made it a 2-0 game in the 84^th minute to seal the match for the Warriors.
 
Doll and Turner both had a pair of shots on goals while the Orange and Black 10 shots on goal in all. Ivan Safranic made three saves in goal to record the shutout.
 
Tech (3-3-0) returns to action Saturday as they travel to Taylor. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Turner Stadium.
