FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to regional rival Taylor University, 2-0, Friday evening at Warrior Athletic Field.
The Warriors held the Trojans off the scoreboard in the first half, but the visitors would break up the scoreless tie with a goal in 61
st minute as Bailey Zehr got deep into the box and got one past
Ally Zenda. Zehr would strike again in the 84
th minute to make it a 2-0 game and put the match out of reach.
The Warrior offense would be stifled by Taylor's defense all night as the hosts recorded just two shots on goal in the contest, with
Kayla Saffran notching both attempts. Zenda made nine saves in the loss.
Tech (1-5-0) returns to action Wednesday, September 19 as they travel to Indiana Wesleyan for their final nonconference game of the year. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from the IWU Soccer Field.
