MARION, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team competed at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan, this past weekend.
 
Vero Jimenez had a strong showing as the sophomore advanced to the third round with a pair of straight set wins before falling in three sets to Fitzpatrick of Huntington.
 
Elena Tokic and Joselyne Bobos advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw consolation bracket for doubles before falling the eventual champion of Fitzpatrick/Copeland from Grace College.
 
Tech returns to action Thursday as they host the University of Saint Francis in their home opener. First serve is set for 3 p.m. from Swinney Tennis Center.
