GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to Aquinas College in double overtime, 1-0, in their Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opener at the AQ Athletic Field.
 
The Saints controlled possession for most of the match as they outshot the Warriors, 24-4, and 10-1 in shots on goal. Lily Rothert recorded Tech's lone shot on goal in the 71^st minute while Marina Steffke had a shot that ricocheted off the crossbar one minute later.
 
Backup goalkeeper Christina Wynn kept the Orange and Black in the game with seven saves after coming on in the 34^th minute, but Aquinas would break the scoreless tie in the 107^th minute to steal three points.
 
Tech (1-7-0, 0-1-0 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday as they host Lourdes University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
