LUBBOCK, Texas – The Indiana Tech men's indoor track and field team sent a strong contingent of athletes to the Texas Tech Red Raider Invite on Friday and had a strong showing inside the Sports Performance Center.
Kejavon Moore continued his fast start to the season with a season-best 6.70 (converted to 6.72 for altitude) in the 60 meters to finish in third place and holding on to the fastest time in the NAIA for the second week in a row. The reigning NAIA National Track Athlete of the Week also hit the automatic qualifying mark in the 200m with a season-best 21.41 (converted to 21.87) to finish in eight place.
Brandon Smiley took fourth in the 200m with a NAIA "A" standard time of 21.14 (21.59 converted) and set the fastest time in the NAIA.
Qadir Muhammad finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 48.44 (49.33 converted) to take fourth and now holds the seventh fastest time in the nation with the "A" standard time. Muhammad led off the 4x400m relay that ran an automatic qualifying time of 3:16.21 (3:19.79 converted) to take 10

Dylan Bikim and
Kaden Branam each cleared 2.01m/6-7 in the high jump to finish in seventh and ninth, respectively, on tiebreakers.
Tech returns to action on Friday, January 25 as they make their first trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Aquinas Quad Meet. Meet time is set for 5 p.m. from the Alksnis Athletic and Recreation Building.
