FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's track teams closed out semester one by hosting their first meet of the season. The two-day Warrior Indoor Invitational saw the Tech teams begin competition on Thursday with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon, while the majority of events were on Friday. The Warriors would dominate in their home opener with two class records, 12 new program top ten all-time marks, 11 event wins, and 73 individual personal records!

Shawn Wilhite, and
Kameron Bailey would all punch their tickets to nationals, hitting NAIA 'A' standard marks at the meet.
Meet highlights:
Men:
- Tech took the three of the top four spots in the heptathlon: Will Jarman (1st – 5,070), Norman Robert (3rd – 4,823), and Reanno Todd (4th – 4,612)
- The Warriors would take the top six spots in the 60m with James Thornton IV winning the race and hitting an NAIA 'B' standard in 6.80. He was followed by Ephesians Pittman (6.81), Tarryl Thompson (6.94), Davarri Barthell (6.96), and Derrion Richardson (6.96)
- Tech would also take the top six spots in the 200m with Pittman winning the race and hitting an NAIA 'B' standard in 21.99. He was followed by Barthell (22.01), Caleb Stuart (22.15), Thompson (22.25), Richardson (22.58), and Joseph Hinds (22.62)
- James Barragan won the 400m race in 50.28, followed by Hinds (50.82), Jaelin Smith (51.13), and Marshall Harris (51.15)
- Lasse Timmerhans finished third in the 600m in 1:22.01 and Brayden Labonte finished fifth in 1:22.77
- Tristen Cockrell won the 800m in 1:58.94. Also finishing in the top five was Derrick Stevens (3rd – 2:04.49), Kiylen Jones (4th – 2:04.60), and Mark Goodlock (5th – 2:16.78)
- The Warriors took five of the top six spots in the 3k with Christopher Putman winning the event in 9:16.82. He was followed by Andrew Mercier (2nd – 9:21.15), Joshua Putman (4th – 4, 9:33.00), Carson Sigman (5th – 9:33.93), and Mikel Cox (6th – 9:46.28)
- Nic Tozer hit an 'A' standard (7.97) winning the 60m hurdles, while Javion Westfield (8.04), and Rodnico Carrington (8.11) both hit 'B' standards finishing in second and third. Jackie Saye was fourth with a time of 8.21
- Alexander Brandon took second in the high jump, clearing 2.01m, while Travion Jones was fourth with a 1.96m
- Jayden Packer was second in pole vault with a mark of 4.50m and Daniel Scott was fourth with a 4.20m
- The Warriors would take the top four spots in the long jump with three NAIA 'A' standards and one 'B' standard; Shawn Wilhite won the event with a jump of 7.40m, while Damien Keys finished second (7.38m), Kameron Bailey finished third (7.36), and Rodrigo Davis finished fourth (7.20m)
- Wilhite also finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 14.17m, followed by Alexander Lopez (3rd – 13.93m), Keys (4th – 13.92), Adam Teitelbaum (5th – 13.83m), and Robert Vaughn (6th – 13.68)
- Leviticus Land finished third in the shot put with a mark of 14.42m and Dane Wagner was fifth (12.47m)
- Jacob Kavicky won the weight throw with a mark of 17.39m
Women:
- Tech took the top four spots in the pentathlon: Aaliyah Rolle-Evans (2,833), Emerson Harper (2,574), Alyssia Quick (2.482), and Alyssa Christian (2,459)
- K'Leigh Davis won the 60m with an NAIA 'B' standard time of 7.60 seconds, while Gabrielle Hoskins finished fourth (7.83) and Harper finished seventh (7.87)
- Davis would also pick up an event win and another NAIA 'B' standard in the 200m with a time of 24.99 seconds. Tech would dominate this event as Giselle Uvieghara also hit an NAIA 'B' standard with a 25.15, finishing in second place, while Junae Bennett finished third in 25.79. Hoskins would place fifth (26.01) and Kayla Rorie was eighth (26.51)
- Bennett and Uvieghara would go one, two in the 400m race, both hitting NAIA 'B' standards in 57.43 and 57.70 seconds respectively. Cale Sanders would finish fourth at 1:00.00 flat, with Goodness Dikeocha (1.00.11) finishing fifth and Danica Azumah finishing eighth (1:05.35)
- Tamia Taylor won the 600m race and hit an NAIA 'B' standard in 1:37.26. Three more Warriors would finish in the top six; Abby Plezia (3rd – 1:42.66), Maria Bacchetta (5th – 1:45.66) and Genesis Borom (6th – 1:46.42)
- McKenna Palmer won the mile with a time of 5:11.78 and Emily DuVall finished sixth in 6:24.08
- Bronwyn Nel finished second in the 3k in 10:12.32, Sarah Koker finished fourth running a 10:57.16, and Makella Sweeney was seventh in 11:47.35
- Four Warriors would finish in the top seven of the 60m hurdles, led by Kayla Rorie (2nd – 8.86), Kaily Pratt (3rd – 8.93), Denise Turpin (4th – 9.18), and Erionte Carlton (7th – 9.67)
- The women's 4x400m relay team of Madison Remington, Grace Remington, DuVall, and Sweeney finished in second place with a time of 4:36.80
- Alyssa Christian and Jordan Gladen both finished fourth in high jump with a mark of 1.48m
- Viviana Rodriguez placed second in pole vault with a mark of 3.65m, hitting an NAIA 'A' standard, while Reece Bowers was third and hit a 'B' standard (3.55m). Hollyn Renfro would place fifth with a mark of 3.25m
- Dakyra Howard and Kadi Vaughn finished third and fourth in the long jump with marks of 5.34m and 5.17m respectively
- Turpin placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.85m, followed by Jessica McNair (3rd – 9.82m and Mattie Fell (4th – 9.48m)
- Emma Longeuay placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 11.69m
- Amaya Quarles came in second place in the weight throw with a mark of 14.25m, while Alaijah Davis was fourth (13.40m) and Amyah Robinson was fifth (13.06m)
The Warriors will be off for a couple weeks over the winter break, but will start off the new semester at the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan on January 10
th in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
