SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) foe Lawrence Technological University, 4-0, Saturday evening inside Blue Devils Stadium.
Emily Tippman had her second straight game of double digit saves as she made 10 in her second collegiate start.
Julienne Ciacico had two shots on goal for the Warriors while fourth other players also had shots on target for Tech.
Dahlia Jerovsek put the Blue Devils on the board just two and a half minutes into the match, taking advantage of a counter attack following a pair of shots from
Stephanie Torres that hit the crossbar and just missed to the right of the goal. Jerovsek added her second goal of the game in the 53
rd minute to make it a 2-0 game.
LTU added their last two goals in the 61
st and 87
th minute with a penalty kick and the third goal of the night from Jerovsek while keeper Renee Anderson stopped all four shots on target from the visitors in the second half.
Tech (4-10-0, 0-7-0 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday as they host No. 3-ranked and six-time defending WHAC Champion University of Northwestern Ohio. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
