FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team fell to the University of Northwestern Ohio, 3-0, (25-19, 25-18, 25-18), on Wednesday evening in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play inside the Schaefer Center.

Allison Cole led the Warriors with nine kills and two blocks while hitting .273.
Madison Park dished out 14 assists while
Madeline MacDonald had 15 digs.

UNOH raced out to a 7-4 lead in the opening set, but the Warriors came right back with a 4-0 run to take an 8-7 advantage. After trading the next six points, the Racers rattled off four straight points to take a 15-10 lead and never looked back. Tech attempted to rally as they cut the lead to 20-18, but it would not be enough as the visitors took the opening set 25-19.

The Racers started the second set on a 10-5, only to see the Orange and Black respond with a 5-2 spurt to make it a 12-10 game. Tech eventually made it a one-point game at 14-13, but UNOH used a 6-0 run to extend their advantage to 22-14 and took a commanding 2-0 lead with the 25-18 set win.

UNOH led from the start in the third set, winning the first three points and racing out to a 10-5 lead. Tech stormed back though, winning six of the next nine points, including three in a row, to cut the deficit to 12-11. The visitors kept just enough ahead of the hosts though, not allowing them to tie up the set and responding to every rally to complete the sweep with the 25-18 win.

Tech (21-7, 9-5 WHAC) returns to action on Friday as they host the University of Michigan-Dearborn. First serve is set for 7 p.m. from the Schaefer Center.
