FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 17-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team dominated Rochester University Saturday afternoon in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play as won 3-0 on Senior Day at Warrior Athletic Field.
Battling through a driving rain storm all afternoon,
Malte Dennert got the Warriors first goal of the contest in the 32
nd minute following a corner kick from
Pep Casas that he drove into the goal. After taking a 1-0 lead into the break, Tech scored a pair of goals in four minutes with
Ryan Steele and
Will Harris scoring in the 58
th and 62
nd minute. The former sent a cross into the box that the win kept pushing and found its way into the net while the latter stole the ball away from a defender in the box and blasted it into the back of the goal to cap the scoring.
Edwin Rosado improved to 10-2-0 on the season and combined with
Ivan Safranic, who made two saves, for the team's third shutout of the season.
Tech (11-4-0, 8-0-0 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday, October 30 as they host Cleary University in their regular season home finale. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
