FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team snapped an 11-game losing streak Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Warrior Athletic Field as they defeated Rochester University in overtime, 3-2, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action.
Megan Clifton was the hero of the game as she curled a ball into the left side of the net in the 98
th minute for the golden goal and notching her third of the season.
Kayla Saffran got the scoring started early as she made it a 1-0 game just 71 seconds into the match while
Molly Ames made it a 2-0 contest in the 26
th minute.
Emily Tippman made eight saves to notch her first collegiate win while
Karson Gardner and
Lily Rothert both had assists.
Tech (5-11-0, 1-8-0 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday, October 30 as they travel to Cleary University for a conference game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Lake Trust Stadium.
