Warriors Run Win Streak to 10 Games with Rout of Rockets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 7-ranked Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team defeated the University of Toledo, 9-1, for their 10th straight win on Friday evening inside the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.

"I was happy with the way we started, but we need a stronger finish tomorrow," head coach Frank DiCristofaro said.
 
Matej Krasny netted his first career hat trick and added an assist while Zach Bennett had two goals and two assists to go over the 100 point mark for his career. Ryan Attwood added two goals while Joel Holmberg passed out five assists. Ryan O'Toole made 19 saves to improve to 8-2 on the season.
 
Tech jumped all over the Rockets in the first period, scoring four goals in the first 13 minutes of the game, with Attwood making it 4-0 with a power play goal at the 7:15 mark. Toledo answered with their lone goal of the night at the 16:27 mark in the second, but three more goals from the Warriors in the final 10 minutes of the period gave the hosts a 7-1 game at the second intermission.
 
Krasny netted the hat trick with seven seconds left in the game while Holmberg got his fifth assist on Tech's ninth goal of the night.
 
Tech (14-2-0) returns to action on Saturday, November 23 as they head to Toledo for their weekend finale. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Team Toledo Ice House.
