FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech track and field program has released its schedule for the 2019-20 indoor and 2020 outdoor seasons, head coach
Doug Edgar announced.
The Warriors will open up the indoor portion of their schedule with three straight meets in their home city beginning with the Mastodon Opener at Purdue University Fort Wayne on December 7 followed by their home meet on December 14 at the Turnstone Center and the Mastodon Invitational on January 18, 2020.
Tech then heads to Penn State University's National Open (Jan. 31-February 1) before wrapping up the regular season at the Indiana Wesleyan University Midwest Classic (Feb. 1) and the Grand Valley State University Big Meet (Feb. 14).
The 2020 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Indoor Championships take place Feb. 22 at the Alksnis Athletics and Recreation Building on the campus of Aquinas College while the 2020 NAIA Indoor National Championships is slated for March 5-7 at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota.
The outdoor season begins March 28 with the Polar Bear Invite at IWU while the start of April as the Orange and Black traveling to the University of Florida and Taylor University for the Pepsi Florida Relays (April 2-4) and the George Glass Invitational (April 4). The Warriors will host their first-ever outdoor track meet April 10 at Warrior Park before heading to the West Coach the next week for the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15-17) at Azusa Pacific University, the Mt. SAC Relays (April 16-18) at Mt. San Antonio College and the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 16) and the Beach Invitational (April 17-18) at Long Beach State University
Tech then heads to Hillsdale College for the 54
th Annual Gina Relays on April 23-25 before returning home for another home meet on April 25. The 2020 WHAC Outdoor Championships are slated for April 30-May 1 at O'Laughlin Stadium on the campus of Siena Heights University while the team is slated to host a last chance meet on May 7.
The 2020 NAIA Outdoor National Championships will occur May 20-22 at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium and the Gulf Shores Sports Complex in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
