Box Score ATHENS, Ohio – The No. 6-ranked Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team fell to No. 8-ranked Ohio, 4-1, in their final game of the fall semester Saturday evening inside Bird Ice Arena.
Ohio jumped all over the Warriors early as they scored twice in the first four minutes of the game.
Tim Holmstrom cut the deficit in half 3:39 into the second period, but the Bobcats scored twice in the final three minutes of the period to make it a 4-1 game and hand Tech their second straight loss for the first time since March 1 and 3, 2018, when they fell to Adrian College and Aquinas College in back-to-back contests.
Bryson Linenburg made 33 saves in the first contest while taking his first collegiate loss in goal.
Tech (15-4-0) returns to action on Friday, January 10 as they return to conference action against Aquinas College. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Sport/ONE Parkview Icehouse.
