ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team extended its winning streak to 16 games on Saturday evening as they defeated Lindenwood University – Belleville, 4-2, at the Shark Tank.
Jimmie Kotilainen put the Warriors ahead just over six minutes into the game while
Cameron Wirick extended the lead to 2-0 at just over five minutes into the second. After the Lynx cut the deficit to one two minutes later,
Joel Holmberg notched a power play goal to restore the two goal lead with 10 minutes to play in the period while
Jarrett Pfeiffer made it a 4-1 game under a minute later.
Bryson Linenburg made 26 saves to improve to 11-0-0 on the season.
Tech (21-3) returns to home ice this weekend as they host Midland University in a three-game series. Puck drop on Friday is set for 7:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Ice House.
