The Warrior Wraparound #14: 3 Game Weekend

The last time we updated the season the boys were about to face-off against the Waldorf Warriors on home-ice. Friday night's game finished at a 9-1 score with Tech coming victorious. Saturday was more of the same from the boys. The final score of that win was 6-0. Bryson Linenburg came away with his third shutout of the season.

The following weekend the Warriors headed down to St. Louis, Missouri for a two-game series against NAIHA opponent, Lindenwood University-Belleville. Friday night was tight all the way throughout. Tech seemed to control most of the game but the Lynx goalie came to play. Fortunately for Tech, they ripped three goals past him to get a 3-2 victory. Saturday night was another tight contest. Big goals and important times of the game were the difference for Tech as they came out with another W by a score of 4-2.

This weekend sees rival Midland University come to town for a three-game weekend. Earlier in the year, Tech made the long drive to Nebraska to face Midland. The outcome was a weekend sweep for the boys as they continued to roll through their opponents. Multiple players for Tech came away with 3 points that weekend.

This weekend's games have significant importance. Whoever wins more games this weekend will hold control of first place in the NAIHA standings going into the National Tournament in mid-March.

Neither team likes each other which will result in three hard-fought, physical games. The little things will be the difference in the games. Finishing hits, winning faceoffs, and winning the little battles along the boards will be major keys in all of the games.

Friday's game is scheduled for a 7:30 P.M. EST puck drop. Saturday night's contest will start at 5:30 P.M. EST. The finale of the series will be a Sunday matinee scheduled for 2:00 P.M. EST. The boys would appreciate your support for this weekend's rivalry games. #EarnIT #GoForIT
