Last weekend the Warriors faced rival Midland University for a 3-game weekend series. Friday night's contest ended in a score of 3-2 in favor of Tech. Saturday was another tight battle. Tech came out to an early 2-0 lead within the first 2 minutes of the game. Midland would put up a good offensive battle with the Warriors, but it wasn't enough as Tech won the game by a score of 6-3.

Sunday's matinee may have been the best game of the weekend. Tech came into the match with a shorthanded lineup, which called for a few players to step-up in other players' absence. Although he did not record a point, Freshman,
Matej Krasny, stood out with his play over the weekend. When the boys looked like they needed a little boost, Krasny would make a big hit, block a shot, or create an offensive opportunity which in return would give the team energy and get momentum back in their favor. Free hockey came to the spectating crowd on Sunday afternoon as 60 minutes of play wasn't enough to reach an outcome. A 5-minute, 3-on-3 overtime had to be played to decide a winner. Midway through the period, Midland had a good rush, but a blocked shot by Sophomore
Zach Bennett turned into a 2-on-1 rush for Tech. Bennett took matters into his own hands and rifled a wrister past the Midland goalie to win the game and complete the season sweep of Midland.

Friday's game is the last WHAC game of the season for the Orange and Black as they host Concordia University. Tech must win the game in order to solidify 2
nd place in the WHAC Tournament. Saturday's contest is an NAIHA game and will mean a lot for the group of Seniors on the team.
