Warriors Fall to Saints in Road Loss

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team fell to Siena Heights University, 92-78, on Wednesday evening in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play inside the SHU Fieldhouse.

Josh Kline scored a career-high 23 point (10-12 shooting) off the bench in 24 minutes while adding six rebounds and two blocks. Dylan Phair and Max Huber each scored 12 points and grabbed two and three rebounds, respectively. Edmond Early, Jr. chipped in eight points, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals while Mitch Morken had seven points.

Tech got out to a 7-6 lead in the first four minutes of the game but the Saints responded with an 8-0 run to make it a 14-7 game at the 14:40 mark. Kline began to assert himself on the next possession as the freshman post scored the Warriors next six points to make it a one-point game and force the hosts to call a timeout. Siena Heights responded with hitting three straight three-pointers to go ahead 23-18 and extended their lead to as many as 12 points with four minutes left until the half. The hosts took a 50-42 lead into the locker room at the half thanks to nine three-pointers.

The Saints came out of the locker room on fire as they used a 21-5 run to go ahead 68-47 just five and a half minutes into the second half. The Warriors were able to cut the deficit down to 11 points with 5:10 to go in the game following a 7-0 run, but the visitors were unable to cut the deficit down to single digits as the Saints went 8-8 from the free throw line in the final two minutes to hold off the Warriors for the win.

Tech (16-11, 12-5 WHAC) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for a battle with Aquinas College. Action is set for 3 p.m. from the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center.
