Tech Wins 15th Straight Game in Close Victory over Lynx

Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team defeated Lindenwood University – Belleville, 3-2, on Friday night at the Shark Tank in North American Intercollegiate Hockey Association (NAIHA) to extend their program-best win streak to 15 games.

"I thought this was a good team win tonight," said head coach Frank DiCristofaro. "We had contributions up and down the lineup."

Trailing 1-0 in the second period, Tech would get goals from Zach Bennett and Jimmie Kotilainen to go ahead 2-1. The Lynx tied the game up at 2-2 with just under seven minutes to play in the period, but Bennett broke the tie with 32 seconds left in the period to put the Warriors ahead 3-2 with the eventual game-winning goal.

Ryan O'Toole finished the game with 26 saves to improve to 10-3 on the season while Adam Jonak had a team-best two assists.

Tech (20-3-0) returns to action Saturday as they face off with Lindenwood-Belleville again. Puck drop is set for 9:30 p.m. EST from the Shark Tank.
