Box Score ST. LOUIS – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team closed out its regular season on Saturday evening with a 4-0 victory over Lindenwood University – Belleville at the FSI Shark Tank to run its winning streak to 23 straight games.
Joel Holmberg put the Warriors up 1-0 just 2:54 into the game while
Nick Trefry made it a 2-0 game at the 14:29 mark. Tech would tack on single goals in the second and third period from
Zach Bennett and
Stavros Soilis.
Ryan O'Toole made 24 saves in net to pick up his first career shutout.
Tech (28-3-0) now turns its attention to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament this weekend at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The Warriors open up tournament play as the number two seed and will take on No. 3-seeded Aquinas College in the semifinals on Saturday, March 9. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. from the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
