MUNCIE, Ind., LOUISVILLE, Ky., & WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Indiana Tech men's outdoor track and field team marched on in their season with a busy weekend of competition as athletes competed at the Ball State Challenge, Bellarmine Classic and the University of the Cumberlands Invitational.

Nathan Riley threw a season-best in the shot put as he hit 16.59m/54-5.25 to hit the NAIA automatic qualifying standard and finish in fourth place.
DeMarcus Stid took 10
th in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.79m/146-11.
Bellarmine Recap
A strong distance contingent led the Orange and Black as
L.J. Brant won the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 9:56.99 while
Anthony Frank was third in the 5000m as he crossed the finish line in 15:46.55.
Jordan Parker was third in the triple jump with a mark of 12.81m/42-0.5.
Cumberlands Invitational
Qadir Muhammad,
Brandon Smiley and
Barthelemy Peter all hit the "A" standard in the 400m with times of 48.04, 48.15 and 48.23, to finish in second, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Coby Bailey, Qawtavis Johnson, and
Matt Lockridge went 3-4-5 in the 100m with times of 10.75, 10.79 and 10.79 while they also went 3-4-5 in the 200m, with Johnson and Bailey switching places, and crossed the finish line in 21.63, 21.66 and 21.72, respectively.
The 4x100m relay of Lockridge, Smiley, Bailey and
Logan Bloir took first in an automatic qualifying standard time of 40.71 while the 4x400m team of
Theo White, Chale McLeod, Gairy Spring and Muhammad hit the "B" mark in 3:16.25 to win the event.
Jesse Frimpong won the 110m hurdles in 15.08 while
Cameron Dessing was second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.56.
Alex Rodriguez finished fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:56.85.
Shomari Somerville finished second in the high jump by clearing 1.97m/6-5.5 while
Jerry Rolle was second in the long jump with a mark of 6.86m/22-6.25.
Tech returns to action this weekend as they travel to the Duke Invitational, set for Friday and Saturday at the Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium.
