FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 22-ranked Indiana Tech baseball team defeated Indiana University South Bend, 11-1, on Thursday evening in a nonconference matchup inside Warrior Field.
 
Tech started off the scoring just two batters into the game with a double from Reese Olden to score Jashaun Simon while Glen McClain followed up with a single to score Olden. McClain and Olden continued to power the Warrior offense as they drove in two runs while Olden crossed home plate twice.
 
The Warriors peppered the Titans pitching staff in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings by scoring twice in all three innings while the Orange and Black staff allowed just one run on seven hits. Martin Eckard picked up the win with a five-inning, five-hit shutout performance and striking out four. McClain finished the game with three hits while Branson Dossen and Simon each scored twice.
 
Tech (20-10) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Livonia, Michigan for a conference battle with Madonna University. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. from Ilitch Park.
