FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 22-ranked Indiana Tech baseball team defeated the University of Saint Francis (Ind.), 4-2, on Wednesday evening at the ASH Centre World Baseball Academy.
Kyle Harvey put the Warriors up first in the top of the second with a sacrifice fly to drive in
Branson Dossen, but the Cougars responded with a run in the second to tie the game up at 1-1. After trading runs in the sixth, Tech went up for good in the seventh as
Glen McClain scored on a passed ball after reaching on a walk.
Dossen capped the scoring with an RBI double one inning later while
Joe Pratt closed out the game with two strikeouts after allowing a leadoff single in the ninth. Dossen led the Warriors with two hits and a stolen base while
Mark Morgan struck out six batters in 3.2 innings of work.
Tech (19-10) returns to action Thursday as they host Indiana University South Bend in a nonconference tilt. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. from Warrior Field.
