FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 5-ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team set a program record with 30 goals on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Rochester College, 30-1, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at Warrior Athletic Field.
Bailey Childs started the scoring just 19 seconds into the game while the Warriors had put up 10 goals with 13:25 left to go in the first half. After taking a 17-0 lead into the locker room at the half, Tech added 13 more goals in the second half to complete the most lopsided victory in program history.
McKenna Mesclier led the team with five goals and seven draws, while
Mackenzie Barnes,
Halli Reinhard and
Anna Hartman each scored three times.
Maddi Jarvis picked up five ground balls while every position player scored at least one goal.
Tech (7-3, 5-0 WHAC) returns to action on Monday as they travel to Cleary University. Opening faceoff is set for 6 p.m. from Lake Trust Stadium.
