GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Indiana Tech men's track and field team continued action at the 2019 NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday inside Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium and finished the day in a tie for 24
th place with five points.
Coby Bailey was fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 14.35 and won his heat while he was took fifth in the 100m preliminaries with a career-best time of 10.48, taking second in his heat.
Aryeh Wells ran a personal-best 14.61 in the 110m hurdles to finish in 11
th while
Brandon Smiley was 11
th in the 100m with a time of 10.58.
The 4x400m relay of
Barthelemy Peter,
Qadir Muhammad,
Gairy Springer and Chale McLeod won their heat in a time of 3:12.08 and took third overall in the prelims while
Malik Johnson was 10
th in the long jump with a mark of 7.11m/23-4.
Tech concludes the 2019 NAIA National Championships on Saturday with the marathon beginning at 7 a.m. EDT while the rest of the meet will get underway at 2 p.m.
