UPLAND, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Friday evening at Turner Stadium as they fell to Taylor University, 3-1.
The Warriors jumped on the scoreboard first as
Elaina Monroe put a bending shot into the upper third of the goal in the 11
th minute and Tech took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Trojans got the momentum back on their side in the first 10 minutes of the second half with goals in the 47
th and 53
rd minute, respectively. Taylor continued to control the action and extended their lead to 3-1 in the 69
th minute while holding the Warriors without a shot on goal in the second half.
Ally Zenda finished the game with five saves.
Tech (4-1-0) returns to action on Wednesday, September 18 as travel to No. 16-ranked Grace College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from First Source Bank Field.
