MISHAWKA, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team came out victorious in a contest involving extra time again Wednesday evening as they defeated Bethel University 2-1 at Morey Field.
Megan Clifton put Tech on the scoreboard first with her second collegiate goal in the eighth minute. After a quite remainder of the first half, the Pilots would eventually tie up the contest in the 54th minute.
With both sides still locked up after the completion of regulation, competitive play from both sides continued into overtime, but it was
Sydney Lemelin who was able to capitalize for the Orange and Black as she found the back of the net in the 100
th minute to extend Tech's win streak to three games to begin the season.
Ally Zenda made five saves as she started the game in net while
Riley Stafford made two saves in relief and picked up the win. Clifton,
Elaina Monroe and
Lily Rothert each had two shots on frame.
The undefeated Warriors (3-0) will host Judson University on Saturday at Warrior Athletic Field for a 12 p.m. showdown.
