FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 8-ranked Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team defeated Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) rival Lawrence Technological University, 5-1, Saturday evening inside the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse to salvage a weekend split. The win secures the Tech Challenge Cup for the third straight season for the Warriors.

Nick Papandrea and Mike all scored once and tallied one assist in the win while
Joel Holmberg also scored for Tech.
Bryson Linenburg made 28 saves in the win.
The scoring got started early for the Warriors as Krasny found the back of the net just two and a half minutes into the game while Chabot made it a 2-0 game at the 6:51 mark. Papandrea netted a power play goal just over three minutes into the second period while
Joel Holmberg collected his 21
st goal of the season at the 9:26 mark to make it a 4-0 game.
Tish capped the scoring for the Orange and Black at the 18:08 mark in the third while Linenburg stopped 14 of the 15 shots he faced in the final 20 minutes to collect his 11
th win of the season.
Tech (18-7-0, 12-4-0 WHAC) returns to action on Friday, January 31 as they host Cleary University in a nonconference series on home ice. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
