GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team defeated Aquinas College, 71-62, Wednesday evening in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play inside the Schaefer Center.

Max Huber chipped in eight points, nine rebounds and three assists while Corey McKinney had eight points, five rebounds and four assists.
The Saints used a 9-3 run to go up 12-7 just over six minutes into the game to control the momentum early, but a 6-2 spurt from the Warriors knotted the game up at 16-16 with 11:19 to play in the opening half. The lead changed hands several time over the next eight minutes until an old-fashioned three-point play from
Terin Kinsway sparked an 8-0 run for Tech to put them up 37-31 with 2:08 to go. Aquinas held the visitors scoreless for the rest of the half though and hit two baskets to make it a 37-36 game at the break.
The back-and-forth continued through the first 10 minutes of the second half with eight lead changes as neither side was able to get ahead by more than a possession. A 10-2 run propelled the Orange and Black ahead 55-48 with 10:02 on the clock, but the hosts cut the deficit back down to a single point at 57-56 with 7:29 to play. Tech responded with a 10-0 run that was powered by a triple from Davison, a breakaway layup from McKinney and an old fashioned three-point play and dunk from Huber to put the Warriors up 67-56 and 2:54 to go. The Saints never cut the lead to under nine for the rest of the game as the Warriors won their fifth straight matchup in the series.
