ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's indoor track and field team got in their final tune-up before championship season at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet Friday inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.
Anthony Franklin finished fourth in the 60 meters with a time of 6.81 while taking sixth in the 200m after crossing in 21.73.
Jordan Highsmith was third in the 400m with a time of 47.87.
Jamir Ferguson won the 600m in 1:21.67 while
Dillan Cerny was two spots behind in 1:22.34.
Phillip Selmer set a personal-best in the 800m by crossing the finish in 1:54.92 and hitting the NAIA provisional mark.
Jake Willison hit the NAIA "B" standard in the 3000m with a personal-best time of 8:39.60 while De'Anthony Coleman was eighth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.13. The 4x400m relay of
Barthelemy Peter,
Gairy Springer, Chale McLeod and Highsmith won the event in 3:12.91, the best time of the season for the relay squad.
Daniel Buell was fourth in the shot put and ninth in the weight throw with marks of 14.68m/48-2 and 17.33m/56-10.25, respectively.
Tech returns to action on Saturday, February 22 as they head to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the 2020 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Indoor Championships, hosted by Aquinas College. Meet time is set for 1 p.m. from the Alksnis Athletics and Recreation Building.
