BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Indiana Tech softball team fell to Union College, 12-4, in six innings Friday afternoon at Union Field.
 
Brianna Glass and Ali LeNoue both went 2-4 at the dish with the former scoring once with a double and the latter picking up an RBI and two doubles. Nicolle Sierra went 1-3 with a home run and three RBI's while Emily Martin also had a double.
 
The Bulldogs took the lead in their first at-bat of the game as Ariel Dailey sent one over the wall in right-center field before tacking on one more run to make it a 2-0 game. The Warriors came storming back in the second with four runs on four hits, with Sierra providing the big punch with a three-run homer on the first pitch she saw to give Tech a 3-2 lead. Back-to-back doubles from Glass and LeNoue resulted in another run for the visitors as they made it a 4-2 game.
 
After four scoreless frames, Union put up a three-spot in the fourth thanks to a solo shot and five more hits. The hosts took back the lead with a two-out single from Ashley Saint while they made it a 6-4 game in the fifth. Five hits and three walks led to six Bulldog runs in the sixth inning though to make it a 12-4 game and hand the Warriors their third straight loss.
 
Tech (0-3) concludes their opening weekend of play Saturday with a doubleheader against Midway College. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. from Clark Memorial Field.
