SYLVANIA, Ohio – The No. 11-ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team moved its winning streak to four games and its conference win streak to 17 with a 78-66 win over Lourdes University Wednesday evening inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

Erika Foy had a game-high 22 points to go along with five rebounds while Emma Tuominen had a season-high 17 points off the bench and was 7-9 from the floor. Kya Whitaker and Alexis Hill each tallied 13 points, with the former adding four rebounds, three assists and two steals while the latter had 11 rebounds to record her third double-double of the season. Taya Andrews chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Gray Wolves jumped out to an 8-0 lead over the Warriors by the 7:02 mark while the visitors did not get on to the scoreboard until 6:36 left in the quarter. Lourdes pushed their lead up to 12-2 at the 5:21 mark, but Tech began to chip away at the deficit thanks to a 9-0 run to get within 12-11. The Warriors finally took the lead with 1:57 left in the period after a three-pointer from Foy made it a 17-15 game but the two sides were knotted up at 19 at the buzzer.

The two teams traded punches in the second with eight lead changes over the second 10-minute stanza. Back-to-back buckets from Whitaker put the Warriors up 23-19 at the 8:51 mark, but Lourdes quickly countered with a 5-0 spurt to go back up 24-23. The lead would change hands over the next six possessions with Lourdes taking control of the game with an 8-0 run to go up 36-29 with 4:11 left in the half. Tech battled to take the lead with 47 seconds on the clock thanks to a triple from Whitaker but the hosts ended the half with a triple to take a 41-39 lead into the locker room.

An 11-2 run for the Warriors gave them the boost they needed to start the second half as they went up 50-43 at the 5:32 mark of the third quarter and held Lourdes scoreless for a 4:11 stretch following a basket on the Gray Wolves opening possession. Lourdes cut the deficit down to 52-49 at the 3:42 mark, but Tech continued to hold the advantage and entered the fourth quarter leading 58-51.

Lourdes, seeking their first win over Tech since February 2, 2013, did all they could to get back into the game as they cut the deficit down to 64-62 with 5:16 left on the clock following a 5-2 run. A triple from Tuominen pushed the lead back up to five points and sparked an 8-0 run for the Warriors to make it a 72-62 game with 3:29 remaining and the Gray Wolves never threatened again as Tech won its 11th game of the season by double digits.
