FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 10-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team defeated Cornerstone University 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament Saturday evening at Warrior Athletic Field.
Will Harris got the scoring started in the fifth minute while
Brendan Sidaway made it 2-0 just six minutes later. Sidaway found
Maxwell Amoako in the 22
nd minute to put the Warriors up 3-0 as they ended the half leading by that mark while outshooting Cornerstone 16-1.
Jaime Rodriguez and
Malte Dennert both tallied goals in the second half while
Christian Calderon made three saves in the second half to combine with
Jaume Salvado on the team's 11 clean sheet of the season.
Tech (15-1-2) continues on in the WHAC Tournament Wednesday as they host Aquinas College. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
