WESTFIELD, Ind. – After not playing a game for 343 days, men's lacrosse dominated on the field earlier today winning 21-3 over Missouri Baptist.
The Warriors jumped out early with a goal at the 12:59 mark of the first quarter be
Andrew Ryan unassisted. Just over a minute later
Nate Langille found the back of the net from
Louis Czach. Down 2-0, Missouri Baptist answered with a goal just 30 seconds later to make the score 2-1.
Ryan scored again in the first from
Langille before Missouri Baptist scored a second to stay in the game. The first period ended with Tech ahead 3-2.
Tech took the game up a notch in the second quarter when they recorded 10 goals that were unanswered by Missouri Baptist.
Langille recorded two more goals and an assist in the second while
Czech tallied one goal.
Ryan racked up three assists and three goals in the second quarter alone.
Samuel Bodley added two assists with
Simeon Bodley earning two goals and one assist.
Jaxon Koehl tallied one goal and one assist with
Khanan Bodley doing the same.
Jordan Reyes recorded one assist in the second quarter. At half, Tech led 13-2.
The Warriors did not stop there and scored five more goals in the third period, four of which were unassisted.
Joe Steigmeyer earned the only assist of the third quarter with
Simeon Bodley, Khanan Bodley, Emmett Coleman, Justin Hindman and
Ryan all recording goals to give Tech an 18-2 lead.
Missouri Baptist scored the first goal of the fourth quarter only to have three Tech goals to finish the game.
Brandon Schmehl, Samuel Bodley and
Koehl each recorded unassisted goals in the fourth to solidify the 21-3 victory for Indiana Tech.
Both
Evan Schuster and
Chad Nedbal were in the net today for the Warriors helping secure the win by only allowing three goals between the pair.
Tech is back in action tomorrow in Westfield, Indiana at 2 p.m. when they face N. 9 Saint Ambrose.
