CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's bowling team won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament title for the second time in program history Saturday inside Imperial Lanes.
The Warriors took first in the qualifying section of the tournament with a score of 3,710 through 16 baker games to take the number one seed in match play. The Orange and Black rolled a 300 in their first baker set. Tech started off match play with a 3-2 (194-239, 277-154, 203-244, 279-188, 220-204) win over Cornerstone University before taking down Concordia University Ann Arbor 3-0 (190-184, 244-200, 253-247) in the finals.
The tournament title gives the Warriors the WHAC's second automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships, which will be held March 25-27 in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Tech returns to action March 6 as they travel to Beavercreek, Ohio for the Roto Grip Raider Classic.
