FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Men's ice hockey bounces back from Friday with a 2-1 home win over Aquinas last night.
The Warriors scored the first goal of the game in the first period on a power play with
Axel Low finding the back of the net from
Cam Chabot and
Zach Bennett. Tech led 1-0 about halfway through the first period until right before the end Aquinas scored to tie the game 1-1 before the second period. Both teams took the defense up a notch in the second period to hold each other scoreless.
Early in the third period the Warriors found some momentum and
Alex Potter scored from
Bear Ross to give Tech a 2-1 lead. The Warriors had a couple penalty kills to end the period and win the game 2-1.
Ryan O'Toole recorded the win with 17 saves while
Filip Schultz went 14-for-29 in faceoffs.
Chabot was 7-for-18 with faceoffs and
Ross was 5-for-14.
Tech is back in action on Wednesday, March 3
rd when they host Cleary at 7:30 p.m.
