MARION, Ind. – Both the men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Indiana Wesleyan Midwest Classic the past two days, only competing in select events.
For the men, there were four athletes that competed all in the 400-meters.
Jordan Highsmith won the event in 49.80 seconds while
Daunte O'Banion finished in third (50.69),
Michael Warner placed fourth (50.71) and
Miles Gray took fifth (50.91).
For the women, the Warriors claimed three of the top six spots in the 400-meters with
Brianna Tillman leading the way in 1:00.08.
Jo'Deci Irby took second in 1:00.19, for a personal best, while
Kayla Moody placed sixth in 1:01.80. Tech also competed in the distance medley relay for the women where a team compiled of
Angie Sanchez, Lily Greiwe, Kara Kline and
Olaide Olapade finished the event in 12:52.53 to take fifth place.
The Warriors are currently competing at the Saints Challenge hosted by Aquinas today to round out the weekend of competition.
