FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team defeated No. 10-ranked Marian University 8-7 Saturday morning inside Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How It Happened

• Tech got out to a hot start with three goals, including two from Abby Barkdull, in the first four minutes of the game to take control. The Warriors made it a 6-2 game by the 7:52 mark of the first half and led 6-3 at the break.
• The Warriors held an 8-5 lead with 5:55 to go following a goal by Abbey Wilson, but the Knights made a furious comeback as they scored a pair of woman-down goals at the 2:03 and 1:52 marks to cut the deficit to 8-7.
• Both teams had changes to score in the final 95 seconds of the game, but the big stop came with 22 seconds to play as Faith Donally made a save on a free-position shot from Marian's Ambrosia Johnson to secure the victory.

• Barkdull led all players with four goals while Wilson had five ground balls, five draw controls, two caused turnovers, a goal and an assist.
• Halli Reinhard made three saves while playing goalie in the first half to pick up the win in the cage before moving to the field in the second half and caused four turnovers and picked up two ground balls. Donally made four saves in the final 30 minutes of the game. 

Tech (1-1) returns to action on Wednesday, March 17 as they host No. 3-ranked University of the Cumberlands. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
