Warriors Smash Golden Eagles Behind Nine Goals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 12-ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team got back in the win column Saturday afternoon as they defeated Cornerstone University 9-0 at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How It Happened
  • The scoring got started quickly with Pep Casas striking in the sixth minute while Luke Jones made it 2-0 in the 14th minute.
  • Jose Uvidia and Ryan Steele scored 35 seconds apart to make it a 4-0 game by the 31st minute while Malte Dennert converted a penalty kick just before the half to make it a 5-0 game.
  • Tech continued to pour it on in the second half with four more goals.

  • The Warriors allowed just one shot, which came on goal in the 83rd minute.
  • Dennert and Steele each finished with two goals apiece while Will Harris had two assists.
 
Tech (12-0-1, 8-0-1 WHAC) returns to action on Tuesday as they host No. 9-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio in a battle for first place in the conference standings. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
