BRIGHTON, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team resumed Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play Tuesday afternoon as they defeated Cleary University 2-0 inside the Legacy Center.
The Warriors struck early as
Maxwell Amoako scored in the fifth minute of the game and that was all the Orange and Black, and keeper
Edwin Rosado, would need. Tech's defense allowed just seven total shots and three of frame as Rosado notched his third shutout of the season while the team picked up its sixth clean sheet.
Malte Dennert added an insurance goal in the 82
nd minute.
Amoako picked up an assist on the second goal while
Noe Garcia assisted on the first score of the game. Rosado finished with three saves to improve to 3-0-0 on the season.
Tech (7-0-0, 4-0-0 WHAC) returns to nonconference action Saturday as they host Bethel University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
