Warriors Roll Crusaders in Top-10 Matchup

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team continued its perfect streak in conference action Wednesday evening as they defeated No. 10-ranked Madonna University 13-4 at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
How It Happened
  • Tech got off to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Simeon Bodley, Nate Langille and Nate Durham to put the Crusaders on their heels, but the visitors came back with two goals in the final four minutes of the quarter to cut the deficit to 3-2 after 15 minutes.
  • The second quarter was dominated by the Warriors as they scored four goals and held Madonna to just three total shots while forcing eight turnovers to take a 7-2 lead into the locker room.
  • After an even third quarter in the goals category the Orange and Black picked up the offensive firepower again in the fourth with four more goals while holding Madonna off the scoreboard and limiting them to just three total shots again for the win.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Langille and Samuel Bodley each had three goals while the former added two assists for a team-best five points.
  • Andrew Neller went 12-20 in the face-off zone while picking up eight ground balls while Jordan Reyes had six caused turnovers and five ground balls.
  • Joe Steigmeyer made nine saves in the cage to pick up the win.
 
Tech (11-1, 6-0 WHAC) concludes its nonconference slate Saturday as they host NCAA Division III foe DePauw University. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
