RICHMOND, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team went 1-2 over the weekend at the IU East Red Wolves Invitational, falling to IU East and Arizona Christian by 3-1 scores while ending the tournament on a high note by defeating IU Southeast 3-1.
Noelle VanOort and
Emma Westra led the Warriors offensively over the weekend with 31 kills apiece, with the former adding 20 digs and four service aces while the latter had a .258 hitting percentage and 13 blocks.
Andrea Schriver had 72 assists, including a career-high 45 against IU Southeast while Kelsey Schladenbrand had 40 assists.
Jacey Blust recorded 41 digs,
Havilyn Cummings had 26 kills, a .321 hitting percentage and 13 blocks and
Madelyn Omo had 11 blocks. Cummings was selected to the All-Tournament team as well following her performance.
Tech (5-7) returns to action on Wednesday with a trip to Lima, Ohio to battle the University of Northwestern Ohio in a return to conference action. First serve is set for 7 p.m. from the Garage.
