GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Warriors struggled to find their stride after losing only one set in their previous two contests, losing to Cornerstone in three sets.
Indiana Tech ran out to a 2-0 lead in the first set, but ultimately weren't able to stick around, losing 25-18. In set 2, the Warriors fell behind at the jump, 7-1, but stuck with it to eventually claw back to a 20-21 deficit. The Eagles would eventually pull away after a late-set timeout, defeating Tech 25-21. In set 3, Tech would show their best effort, leading 21-17 late in the set, but would eventually fall to the Eagles by a narrow margin of 25-23.
Noelle VanOort led the team in kills with nine, followed by
Havilyn Cummings with seven and
Taylor Paul with six. VanOort also led the team with four of the teams six service aces.
Jacey Blust led the team in digs with 13 followed by
Olivia Gessner with 11.
The Warriors are back on the court today at 1:00 PM where they will take on another Grand Rapids foe in the Aquinas Saints (9-6, 1-1 WHAC).
