FREMONT, Neb. – The Indiana Tech women's ice hockey team ended its opening weekend of play with a 1-1 overtime tie with Midland University Saturday afternoon inside Sidner Ice Arena.
Tech struck first with a goal from Brooklyn Moore at the 8:18 mark in the second and held the lead for almost 20 minutes until Midland tied the game at 7:57 in the third on a power play. The two Warriors battled it out for the remainder of regulation, while the visiting Warriors fought off a short-handed situation in the final 20 seconds overtime to salvage the tie.

Hailey Anderson got the assists on the goal while
Izzy Varner made 33 saves in goal.
Tech (0-1-1) returns to action Saturday, October 2 as they host Grand Valley State University in their home opener. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
