DEARBORN, Mich. - The Indiana Tech men's basketball team proved to be "Road Warriors" this past weekend as they would earn a victory over Dearborn by a final score of 92-74.
Tech seniors,
Cory McKinney and
Grant Smith got the job done, achieving a combined stat-line of 34 points, eight assists, and 13 rebounds. McKinney knocked in three of the Warriors' four triples.
Jeremy Luciani scored a career-high 16 points off the bench, shooting 7-9 from the floor, grabbing six boards and picking off the Wolverines once.
Rog Stein scored nine points and snagged seven rebounds while
Josh Kline scored eight points, grabbed seven boards, and swatted four shots.Â
Indiana Tech stuck to their strengths, winning the battle inside, as they usually do, out-scoring the Wolverines 44-30 in the paint, which also helped lead to the Orange and Black shooting 56% from the floor as a team.Â
The Warriors have now won their fifth straight contest and sit atop the conference standings, improving to 11-2 in WHAC play, and holding a 17-6 record overall. The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday night, as they will host Aquinas (12-10, 6-7 WHAC), tip-off is set for 8:00 PM at the Schaefer Center.Â
