Bennett Nets Four Goals as Warriors Dominate Cardinals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The No. 13-ranked Indiana Tech men's hockey team got back to their winning ways this past weekend, sweeping the Concordia Cardinals by scores of 2-0 and 9-0.

The first contest was on Friday night in Chelsea, Michigan. Malik Ali would put the Warriors ahead in the first period off of the assist by Alex Potter. The Warriors wouldn't strike again until the third period where TJ Dougan would score his third Tech goal, assisted by Alex Carrothers. The Cardinals would only attempt 15 shots on goal, with Ty Barnhill saving each and every one of them.

The Orange and Black would be back on home ice on Saturday, and the night would belong to Zach Bennett. Bennett would go on to score FOUR goals in the contest, with Cam Chabot assisting on three of them. Chabot would also net a goal of his own with two seconds left in the first period. Fabian Granqvist, Colton Nikiforuk, TJ Dougan, and Brandon Plummer would also contribute to the rout, scoring one goal each. Ty Barnhill would earn the series shutout, making 21 saves on the night.
