ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – On Saturday, the women's volleyball team took on Rochester University in Garth Pleasant Arena. The Warriors brought home a 3-0 sweep over Rochester to improve to 20-1 on the season and 8-1 in conference play.
Tech won three straight sets, 25-8, 25-21, and 25-19, while recording forty-three kills, eight aces, five blocks, thirty assists, and seventy-one digs. The Warrior's attack posted a .228 attacking percentage and was led by
Emma Westra with twelve kills.
Kelsey Schaldenbrand served two aces in the contest.
Taylor Sorg recorded three blocks.
Andrea Schriver posted a team-high sixteen assists, while
Jacey Blust led the team with digs, posting seventeen.
The Warriors next match is Wednesday, October 5 where they'll play host to the Saints of Siena Heights University in the Schaefer Center. The Warriors are 26-5 in the series with a 3-1 win most recently on November 6, 2021.
