FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Warrior women's volleyball team took the court Wednesday night, hosting the Siena Heights University Saints in the Schaefer Center. The Warriors performed tough but ultimately fell to the Saints 3-1.
After losing a close first set with a 21-25 score, the Warriors stormed back in set two to win 25-14.
Noelle VanOort started the second set serving ten straight points with three aces in that stretch, giving the Warriors a lead the Saints could not come back from. Set three was another close contest, with Siena Heights coming out on top with a 25-22 score. The Warriors dropped the fourth set with a score of 25-19.
Taylor Paul led the Warrior's attack with twelve kills.
Noelle VanOort served up three aces.
Taylor Sorg recorded three blocks, while
Andrea Schriver led the team in assists with twenty.
Noelle VanOort posted a team-high in digs with seventeen.
The Warrior's next match is on October 12
th. They travel to Lima, Ohio, to take on the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers. The Warriors are 20-6 in the series on a current win streak of five matches. Tech won 3-0 when they met on September 7
th earlier this season in the Schaefer Center.
